Day 1: Arrival & Sesriem

08:00 - Meet at Windhoek Airport

We meet at Windhoek airport arrivals hall and take the shuttle into the
city to pick up our 4×4 campers.

12:00 – Depart Windhoek

After we've done our shopping, we're off to Sesriem in the Namib
Desert. Soon nothing but vastness stretches out in front of us and the
thrill of adventure grows.

17:00 – Sesriem Campsite

We check in at the campsite, get cozy around the campfire and have
dinner together before spending the first night in our rooftop tents.

Day 2: Namib Desert

06:30 – Depart Namib Desert

The first day in Namibia starts early, so today we climb one of the
highest dunes in the world and discover the impressive Deadvlei.

approx. 14:00 – Drive to Dune Star Camp

In the early afternoon we leave for Dune Star Camp, where a ranger
greets us and takes us to the Sun Downer camp in the middle of the desert.

approx. 20:00 – Overnight stay under the starry sky

In the evening we are cooked delicious and then roll our bed onto the
terrace to fall asleep under the glowing Milky Way.

Day 3: Swakopmund

07:00 – Sunrise in the Namib

We experience a magical silence and an equally magical sunrise in the
oldest desert in the world - maybe we even spot a few hyenas?

10:00 - Drive to the Skeleton Coast

After breakfast we drive to Swakopmund via a salt road and make a stop
for shopping. With a bit of luck we will discover wild animals on the way,
such as oryx antelopes or pink flamingos.

16:00 – Camping Windpomp14

Today's camping spot is right on the infamous Skeleton Coast and after
dinner we fall asleep to the sound of the waves.

Day 4: Kayaking with Robben & Spitzkoppe

07:00 - Depart for Walvis Bay

We get up early this morning too, because a very special experience
awaits us: we go kayaking with curious seals in Walvis Bay!

13:00 – Drive to the Spitzkoppe

After this animal delight we leave the coast behind us and drive to the
majestic Spitzkoppe, where our camp and campfire await us.

Day 5: Etosha National Park

08:00 - Drive to Etosha National Park

A longer route awaits us today, as we drive to the north of Namibia to
the famous Etosha National Park. At the end of the day there is a water
hole at our campsite and hopefully lots of wild animals around it!

14:00 - Arrival and self-drive safari

On the way we stop again to replenish our supplies and then we go into
the national park and spot the first wild animals from the wayside!

16:00 – Okaukuejo camp site

Today we enjoy our sundowner at the waterhole and, with a bit of luck,
watch elephants, giraffes, rhinos, zebras and jackals as they gather to drink.

Day 6: Etosha National Park

08:00 - Self drive safari

Safari is the order of the day today: armed with binoculars and
walkie-talkies, we drive through the national park and are sure to discover
numerous wild animals – maybe even young animals!

16:00 – Okaukuejo camp site

Today we enjoy our sundowner again at the waterhole in Okaukuejo and,
with a bit of luck, watch elephants, giraffes, rhinos, zebras and jackals as they
gather to drink.

Day 7: Etosha National Park

08:00 - Self drive safari

We keep driving to the west of the park, which has been closed to the
public for years and is still extremely wild. Which animals will we see
today? Monkeys also roam here...

16:00 – Olifantsru Campsite

The special thing about this campsite is that it is very remote and only
offers very few places. The highlight, however, is the viewing platform,
from which you can look down on the waterhole from above or stand directly next
to it, separated only by a thick pane of glass.

Day 8: Etosha National Park

12:00 - Drive to Okonjima Nature Reserve

From Etosha National Park we continue to the Okonjima Nature Reserve,
known for its large population of leopards.

Day 9: Leopard Safari & Departure

06:00 – Leopard Safari

This morning we have a very specific goal: with our guides we go in search of
leopards!

12:00 – Departure to Windhoek

Arriving back in Windhoek, it is time to drop off our 4×4 campers.

15:00 – Departure for the airport After this last unique
experience, a wonderful journey comes to an end. With unforgettable
experiences in mind we say goodbye as friends at the airport in Windhoek, while
Namibia has also taken a firm place in our hearts.

Our camps and lodges

We paid attention to the special features of our sleeping places
on this trip: We stay at Dune Star Camp, one of the best places for stargazing
in the Namib Desert. Our campsites couldn't be more different and unique:
sometimes at a waterhole to observe animals, sometimes right by the sea, where
we fall asleep and wake up with the waves, sometimes right on the Spitzkoppe,
Namibia's Matterhorn.

*A little hint: Adventures, and especially those that involve
wildlife viewing, cannot always be planned down to the minute. All times
are therefore only approximate, so there may be deviations on site.
