Day One
Arriving on
the day you will be met by Adora crew as
you exit the international arrivals area. If you are arriving the day before
there will not be a representative to meet you arrival.
Between 12-
1pm on the day we will gather at Male Airport in front of Coffee Club /
Burger King, where you will board Adora shortly after. It’s a small airport so it’s
easy to find us.
*If you cannot
arrive by 1pm on day one, you will need to arrive the day before and overnight
in Male or Hulhule Male as well as arrange your own way there and back to the
airport. We can assist.
Typical 8
day trip
Generally
speaking we will travel as far south as Meemu Atoll and even Thaa and the west coast
if conditions demand. This area has some of our favourite waves and is a great
option for those who are might be time poor.
What to expect
Our SUP surf trips start and end in Male harbour, close to here you will
find the island nations most famous waves in nearby North Male Atoll, along
with most of the boats and a bunch of land based surf resorts and hostels
combining together to cause massive congestion in the line ups. It is rare for
us to surf this area. Here you will find; Jailbreaks, Sultans, Cokes, Ninja's,
Honky's and private resort waves like Pastor Point.
SUP surfers will prefer our favourite waves in the central and
southern central atolls, most only accessible by boat. These breaks have less
crowds and offer perfect fuller waves and long rides for SUP surfers. In short,
it’s SUP heaven. They can still hold some size but remain very ripable on a
SUP. There are heavy barreling waves in the area but don't expect to be surfing
them as your main priority. It's a SUP trip.
A surf trip should be flexible, not locked into strict daily miles or
locations. Our trips are based around mother nature’s plans for the swell and
wind. Because of this we are ultimately flexible up until the last minute and
during the whole trip.
With a massive fuel and mileage allowance we have the luxury to travel
further than any standard charter, that gets you away from the crowds and into
the best waves. Rest assured, you will get what you are looking for with this
outstanding boat, experienced crew, local surf guide that know the area well.
Last Day
If conditions and cruising timing works out a morning surf will be
offered before departing Adora no later than 12pm at Male Airport. Any flights
booked after 2pm will be safe.
If you would like to catch an earlier flight out of Male a private
speedboat transfer can be arranged from our last mornings surf location. Allow
USD$200 private transfer. A water taxi maybe available for $50 depending on the
final nights location.
BYO your own
Boards or book one of our SUNOVA SUPs for $150USD - subject to availability
Flights/Airport
Our trip
start and finish at Male, Valena International airport. Unless your trip states
otherwise.
Most guests
arrive on the start day, (Singapore Airlines) SQ 11:50 am which aligns
well with the boarding time of 1pm, however an overnight to catch up on
sleep before the trip starts is good.
On the last
day SQ flight at 12:50 works well for departure and we will have
everyone back at the airport at 10:30-11 to align with this flight check in.
Non Surfers
50% off Sharing*
We have some
5 non-surfing surfing spots available for partners, family and friends.
Non-surfers will enjoy a luxury cruise around the Maldives and can partake in
all non-surfing activities such as flat water paddling, plenty of fishing,
snorkelling, scuba diving (learn to dive with PADI), island hopping, local
island interactions, a luxury resort visit, beautiful food, sunset drinks and
music on the sundeck as well as the opportunity to learn how the chefs prepare
a mixture of local dishes.
Depending on
the trip we do offer daily yoga and pilates classes although some self-guided
yoga on the sundeck is a pastime many enjoy regardless.
At the end
of the day non surfers can be kept reasonably busy, I think it goes without
saying that surfing comes first but we can and do cater for non-surfers all the
time. If a non-surfer struggles to relax, likes to run 10 mile a day and needs
constant organised or guided activities they may struggle on a cruise.
If you would
like to add a non-surfer to your booking please let us know
What should
