Overview

Ready for your next African adventure?

Travel with us to the Okavango Delta in Botswana and experience one of the last wild places on our planet.

The largest inland delta on earth is so unique that it has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Numerous animal species call the Okavango Delta their home, including huge herds of elephants and rare wild dogs.

We have been to the Okavango Delta several times and even completed our field guide training here. This place is so magical that we decided to return with a group of selected nature lovers.

In this way we can offer others the opportunity to experience an exclusive safari experience at a comparatively low price in the Okavango Delta - after all, Botswana is considered the best, but also the most expensive safari destination in the world.

He grew up in Mallorca, Spain, but has explored over 100 countries and lived in Australia, Netherlands, Germany, Bulgaria, Thailand and Indonesia. Whether it was kayaking with orcas in the waters of Vancouver island, plunging from the world’s highest bungee jump at Bloukrans Bridge in South Africa, or rafting down the tallest waterfall in New Zealand; he has experienced it all and now wants to ignite the same spark of adventure in you.

Highlights

  • Exclusive safari experience: The Okavango Delta is one of
the last wild places on our planet. The flora and fauna is so unique that
it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • Countless game drives: Mornings and afternoons, when
temperatures are comfortable, we embark on a Land Cruiser game drive in search
    of wildlife.
  • Walking safaris : If possible, we hop off the car and
explore the Okavango Delta on foot. We sharpen our senses and experience
    the wilderness up close.
  • Sleep outs in the bush: One evening we grab ground tents and
head out into the bush to spend the night outdoors - great campfire talk
    included!

Day 1: Arrive in
the Okavango Delta

14:00 - Meet at The
Duck

We meet at The Duck
Café, across from the airport in Maun. From here we drive within 2-3 hours
to our camp in the Okavango Delta.

approx. 16:00 –
Arrival at Kwapa Camp

We reach Kwapa,
move into our tents and get a brief introduction to the camp - our home in the
Okavango Delta for the next few days.

approx. 17:00 –
optional game drive

We embark on our
first game drive and go in search of wild animals, provided they have not
already come to the camp's own waterhole.

Day 2-7: exemplary
daily routine

approx. 04:30 –
game drive/walk

Even before the sun
has risen, we drive out in our off-road vehicle and track down wild
animals. Alternatively, we go on foot into the bush and will certainly
experience one or the other goosebump moment.

approx. 7:00 am –
breakfast on the way

If we are on a game
drive we will look for a suitable place to have breakfast en route – How about
near a waterhole?

approx. 10:00 am –
Return to the camp

Depending on what
we spot in the bush, we make our way back to camp around 10am.

approx. 10:30 am –
second breakfast

Freshly baked,
still warm bread, butter, jam and peanut butter await us for refreshment.

approx. 13:00 –
Lunch

We gather in the
main tent and have lunch together.

approx. 16:30 –
game drive / game walk / sleep-out

Depending on the
weather and wishes, we leave our camp on foot or in an off-road
vehicle. Maybe we'll take our tents with us and spend the night outdoors?

approx. 6:00 p.m. –
Sundowner

It's time for an
obligatory sundowner, and we've packed cold soft drinks and alcoholic beverages
to go along with it.

approx. 19:00 –
return to the camp

If we don't camp
outside, we'll head back to Kwapa Camp as the sun goes down and have dinner
here.

approx. 19:30 –
dinner

Delicious
home-cooked food awaits us after an exciting day in the African bush. And
if you like, you can sit down with us around the crackling campfire afterwards.

Day 8: final game
drive & departure

approx. 07:00
– last game drive & departure

Once again we get
into our Land Cruiser and drive through the bush. With luck we can still
track down wild animals on our last morning. However, today's destination
is Maun, because our safari adventure unfortunately comes to an end today.

approx. 9:00
am – Arrive in Maun

Back in Maun, it's
time to say goodbye to each other. Several days of adventure and
unforgettable animal encounters are behind us, and a group of strangers quickly
became friends during such intense experiences.
